2026 Germania Oktoberfest (18 Sep 2026)

First night of our 69th Oktoberfest.

Join us in our beautiful beer garden and enjoy German food, German music, and German fun.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Opening ceremonies and keg tapping at 6:30 p.m.

Hauskapella from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. German, American music

Bier Fest Boys from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m. Traditional polka, fest music

All members (and their children under 18) and non-member children under 16 can attend Oktoberfest for free. Non-member volunteers also enter for free on the day they volunteer. Non-member guests 16 and over can buy a weekend pass for $10. This $10 pass will allow you to attend all days of the fest.

Central Ohio German Choirs Concert - 2:00 p.m. The Germania Choir will host other Central Ohio German choirs for a combined performance featuring Germania, the Columbus Maennerchor und Damenchor, and the Newark Maennerchor, with a special appearance by the Swiss Yodel Choir. Please come support the Central Ohio German choirs, relax, and enjoy a Bier—or two.

Ohio Alphorns - 2:30 p.m. Beautiful alphorn music performed by Germania members and others.

Masskrugsstemmen US Steinholding State Qualifier - ~3:30 p.m.

Bierhalle Band - 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Fest music, fresh, modern twist on timeless classics from the Old World

Wooly Pig Oktoberfest Bus Trip (3 Oct 2026)

October 3rd is German reunification day, and what better way to celebrate than to join your Germania friends on a bus trip to the Oktoberfest at Wooly Pig Brewery, a brewer of traditional German beers. You won't want to miss the food, friends, and fun!

If you haven't been to Wooly Pig, it's a working Bavarian Mangalitsa pig farm and world-class craft brewery on a charming hillside just outside of Coshocton. There will be beer, activities, food, and tons of fun!

The bus will depart from Germania at 10:45am and will return at approximately 6:00pm. This is an adults-only bus, but families are encouraged to drive out and join us at the farm.

On the bus, we'll have beer, snacks, and more surprises! Wear your Tracht or your most German-American style!

Sommerende Radfahrverein Fest

(Bike club "End of Summer" Festival)

Sunday, October 4, 2026 – 2:00 p.m.

This will be our "End of Summer" ride and picnic for 2026.

(This isn't the last ride of the year!)

Mark Pinnick invites Germania riders to a ride along Buckeye Lake Bike path; and then gather for gemütlichkeit at his home on the lake. We will gather at Mark’s house, then set out on the ride. You can ride as little or as much as you like on this path. The path is only 4.1 miles. So, you can ride that (about 20 minutes); or ride it back and forth to add miles.

After everyone has finished their ride, we’ll meet for gemütlichkeit; Food and Beer. This will be a potluck picnic. Mark will supply the Brats, Hotdogs, Chips and Beer. Everyone else can bring sides dishes to share.

Wanderverein - Oktober Hike!

Alum Creek Phase 1 Trail

This is another new trail for us. It is a 6-mile looped trail of moderate difficulty.

We will meet at 9:45 a.m. and start the hike at 10:00 a.m. Please R.S.V.P. so we know who will be joining us for the hike.
