Come celebrate the 211th anniversary of The Wedding Reception That Started It All!
You may know that the original Oktoberfest honored the marriage of Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen. (If you don’t, you can read a brief history here.) And, once again, we’re celebrating with our own Hochzeitsempfang, or wedding reception, in the Biergarten!
We’ll recognize members celebrating milestone anniversaries, while couples who married in the past year will represent the Prince and Princess as guests of honor.
This event is sponsored by the Bier Kameraden, and all Germania members and their guests are welcome. We’ll have great German soft pretzels and beers, along with some fun cookies. And, to round out the festivities, the Fred Ziwich Polka Band will be playing all of the traditional favorites for dancing!
Back by popular demand the Martiny's BBQ Food Truck will be serving great food from 5-9pm.
Wear your traditional Tracht, or dress casually—it’s up to you! But you won’t want to miss this!
